  • Overview

    Ensure that import/export compliance documents and guidelines are met while contributing to the accomplishment of profit improvement programs through effective logistics planning.




    • Establish and maintain procedures for pre-import classification, supplier documentation, shipment expedition, post entry audits, etc.
    • Expedite orders as required to meet deadlines by working closely with sales staff, order processing, and supply chain to minimize delays
    • Collaborate with internal and external customers to facilitate winning solutions to complicated logistical problems
    • Organize all international logistics, imports & exports (provide routing instructions)
    • Provide custom clearance instructions for imports (communicate broker information)
    • Communicate shipment status for all imports to Procurement team to ensure timely deliveries.
    • Develop and execute effective relationships with all freight forwarders and custom brokers
    • Support documentation needs for all exports and execute AES filings
    • Manage all international returns to ensure proper handling
    • Maintain rate matrix for imports and exports (provide int’l quotes when requested by various depts.)
    • Coordinate and harmonize import/export compliance for regional warehouses
    • Help support all related supply chain security programs (C-TPAT and Customs filings)
    • Perform initial review & annual review for all tariff codes, schedule B, product codes and will work with corporate compliance on NAFTA review.
    • Publish and maintain key performance indicators relating to trade activities
    • Builds & maintains relationships with key strategic logistics providers
    • Attends training sessions external and internal to keep on top of new technology and innovation
