The Materials Coordinator works collaboratively on a multi-disciplinary work group and projects. Initiates and facilitates activities to establish and enhance operational analyses, supply chain, product management and other SCM activities and processes to provide the better solution to our customers. Responsible for planning, organizing and coordinating the day-to-day activities within the Singapore Supplier Partnership facility for tool warehousing and distribution. Provides regional support to both internal/external customers and sourcing teams, which include supply chain management and customer resolution. Serves as a resource on department and institutional initiatives; shares knowledge with customers and colleagues. Assists with SCM continuous improvement initiatives. Works as a team to provide support to all departments; works with other areas of SCM to ensure exceptional customer service. Serves as the primary point of contact for operational service delivery by: completing projects and reporting, and coordinating with other functions to meet delivery expectations and address ongoing needs.
Must be adaptable and flexible in an ever-changing work environment. Demonstrated ability to handle/prioritize tasks simultaneously. Basic understanding of supply chain, accounting and customer support principles. Ability to manage time to meet required deadlines. Commodity/Service line knowledge and understanding. Ability to manage customer and supplier relationships. Comprehension of customer requirements in order to provide solutions to product/service needs. Demonstrated analytical and project management experience.
