The Materials Coordinator works collaboratively on a multi-disciplinary work group and projects.  Initiates and facilitates activities to establish and enhance operational analyses, supply chain, product management and other SCM activities and processes to provide the better solution to our customers.  Responsible for planning, organizing and coordinating the day-to-day activities within the Singapore Supplier Partnership facility for tool warehousing and distribution.  Provides regional support to both internal/external customers and sourcing teams, which include supply chain management and customer resolution.  Serves as a resource on department and institutional initiatives; shares knowledge with customers and colleagues.  Assists with SCM continuous improvement initiatives. Works as a team to provide support to all departments; works with other areas of SCM to ensure exceptional customer service.  Serves as the primary point of contact for operational service delivery by: completing projects and reporting, and coordinating with other functions to meet delivery expectations and address ongoing needs. 


  • Manages the receiving, inspection, shipping documentation and creation of shipment activity transactions using computer-based systems and manages all GST filings.
  • Adaptable to fast paced environments with changing circumstances, direction and strategy and has the desire to thrive in a dynamically growing environment
  • Communicates with customers, internal and external, regarding material requirements and availability.  Provides systems maintenance on purchase orders, verifies, tracks and provides updates on delivery status, delays or discrepancies. Acts as a liaison between supply chain and internal/external customer teams to support schedule adherence.
  • Must understand and manage customer expectations and service needs by building and maintaining positive relationships (both internal and external) and by delivering quality service; thereby enhancing Rhinestahl’s reputation in the industry
  • Investigates, researches and resolve problems presented by the customer and/or Customer Account Management Team members
  • Identifies logistic process shortfalls and works with department to identify logistic process improvements. Advises Supervisor of issues or irregularities, utilizes independent judgment and discretion to identify trends, variances, and key issues and provides recommendations for adjustment.
  • Accountable for ensuring all Rhinestahl process integrity is maintained for receiving, inspection and shipment of tooling within the Singapore Supplier Partner’s distribution operations.
  • Ensure that Rhinestahl costs for warehouse supplies, services and freight costs are at the most economical and most efficient.
  • Responsible for filing claims for freight damage and negations of closure of claims.
  • Assist with coordinating complex, international freight movements for inbound, drop shipment and outbound freight.
  • Assist with the logistics and transportation of product for both inbound and outbound shipments, including ensuring all import/export regulations are in accordance with appropriate law.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Sourcing organizations the priority of shipments to support customer needs.
  • Work with Supplier Partner to maintain the integrity of warehouse inventory throughout all operations of receipt, storage, staging and shipment. Coordinate and assist with inventory and cycle count processes as requested and identified in conjunction with finance personnel.
  • Utilize available data to create metrics/reports for visibility and accountability of supply chain performance.
  • Support RCM, CAM and TPM activities as necessary to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Update various Excel reports on a daily basis
  • Support special projects and perform other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s Degree or a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, finance, customer service or related business experience.
  • Requires strong personal computer skills (specifically in excel with data analysis), communication skills, problem solving, continuous improvement and teaming skills.  Maintains a broad knowledge of Rhinestahl Tooling, financial and administrative systems/applications and processes.  Serves as a resource on department and company initiatives, shares knowledge with customers and colleagues.  Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.  Ability to work with little to no supervision and maintaining a team-oriented environment.  Must be fluent in English.  Team leader with strong work ethics.  Attention to detail and accuracy.


Must be adaptable and flexible in an ever-changing work environment. Demonstrated ability to handle/prioritize tasks simultaneously.  Basic understanding of supply chain, accounting and customer support principles. Ability to manage time to meet required deadlines. Commodity/Service line knowledge and understanding.  Ability to manage customer and supplier relationships.  Comprehension of customer requirements in order to provide solutions to product/service needs. Demonstrated analytical and project management experience.
