Overview

Oversees the manufacturing and ancillary departments to ensure the efficient manufacture of products to meet customer demands and Rhinestahl goals. 

Responsibilities

  • Reviews business plan and adjust labor force to meet goals of the division’s plan.
  • Reviews business plan to evaluate equipment needs and buy/sell equipment based on the needs of the plan within the budget.
  • Primary technical troubleshooting resource for solving complex manufacturing issues.
  • Direct the programming department on techniques and manufacturing plans.
  • Coordinate part inspection techniques with Engineering and Inspection to allow correlation upon part completion.
  • Forecast, plan, and direct resources to achieve department and company objectives and participate in long-range business planning and budget preparation.
  • Manage staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties.
  • Review financial statements and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and improvement.
  • Establish and implement organizational policies, goals, objectives, and procedures as necessary.
  • Determine staffing requirements, and interview, hire and train new employees, or oversee those personnel procedures.
  • Provide leadership and guidance in all aspects of the organization.
  • Provide support to and direction for successful introduction of new and existing products and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and specific projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Work experience
    • Minimum of 5 years related professional experience in a job shop manufacturing environment; Aerospace / Technology based manufacturing experience preferred
    • Minimum of 5 years leading and directing staff
    • Demonstrated experience in planning, negotiating, and organizing work plans
  • Job specific attributes/skills
  • Computer knowledge – Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Project and MRP systems
  • Experience with ISO9001, AS9000 and NADCAP requirements
  • Proven problem solving, troubleshooting, and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand and comprehend complex blue prints
  • Systematic and logical with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to motivate coworkers and subordinates
  • Ability to communicate with all levels inside and outside the organization.  Must be able to successfully interact with all internal departments to meet their needs
